The Mailroom has 27 Steam achievements: 12 that come out of the story shifts, 14 that come from interacting with things, and one Perfect day for a shift with zero misdelivered mail. Every one of them is listed below with the object or the action it asks for.
The 12 story achievements, by the shift they unlock
| Achievement | What it asks for | Shift |
|---|---|---|
| Clocked In | Start your first shift — interact with the punch card | Day 1 |
| Contraband | Mail a frog — put the frog in the pneumatic tube for delivery | Day 1 |
| Day 1 | Finish day 1 | Day 1 |
| Grinder | Use the mortar and pestle to grind something | Day 2 |
| Mad scientist | Dissect a frog with the knife | Day 2 |
| Pepe | Enter the security room and look at the wall | Day 3 |
| Spellcaster | Use the spell book in the security room | Day 3 |
| Full Pepe | Burn all of Pepe's mail in the security room | Day 3 |
| Butcher | Use the knife to cut the meat | Day 4 |
| Bird feeder | Feed the extra meat to the crow | Day 4 |
| Trust fall | Jump down the elevator | Day 5 |
| Modesto | Welcome home | Day 666 |
Pepe is the one players ask about by name, and the achievement poses the same question: "Who is Pepe Silvia?!". It unlocks when you walk into the security room and look at the wall, which is the same room where the spell book and Pepe's mail are. The shift rules and puzzles guide has what each of those days actually asks for.
The 14 interaction achievements, by where the action happens
At the desk
- Clean desk — Clear mind. Take every liftable item off the desk.
- Wood chucker — Moved a lot of wood. Move the wood around several times.
The chandelier over the work table
- Pusher — Pushed the chandelier an abnormal amount. Keep interacting with the swinging chandelier of skulls. It is the same chandelier the jumpscares guide names as set dressing.
The toilet
- Call a plumber — Clogged the toilet. Put the toilet paper into the toilet.
- Slippery when wet — You flushed a frog. Put a frog into the toilet and flush it.
The toilet paper
- Butt paper pyro — Burned toilet paper. Burn it. Putting it in the furnace works, and so does the flamethrower.
- Butt paper menace — Mailed burning butt paper. Put burning toilet paper into the pneumatic tube.
- Butt paper prankster — Mailed raw butt paper. Put the toilet paper into the pneumatic tube as it is.
The frogs
- Frogfriend — Befriended a frog. Pet a frog once.
- Ashes to ashes — Set the frog on fire. Burn a frog. Putting it in the furnace works, and so does the flamethrower.
The slot machine and the VCR
- Whale — Played the slots all night. Interact with the slot machine many times.
- High-roller — Gambled a frog. Put a frog into the slot machine.
- Straight to video — Put frog in VCR. Put a frog into the VCR in the security room.
The crow
- Crowfriend — Befriended a crow. Pet the crow once. It is the crow on the cabinet in the room upstairs, with Crowfriend painted on the wall behind it, which the hell's exit guide describes.
Perfect day: zero misdelivered mail
Perfect day asks for one shift in which every letter of that day is delivered correctly, with zero misdeliveries. Two things trip people up on it.
- Burning the unused meat counts as a mistake. The Flesh and Blood note tells you to burn all the meat you did not use, but burning it is logged as a mistake. Feed the extra meat to the crow instead, which is what the Bird feeder achievement is for. This is a known bug — the developer has said the two do not agree and that it will be fixed in a future update — and it behaves the same on both difficulty settings.
- The recipe and the cutting-meat recipient both have to be right. The mixture you grind and the meat you cut each go to a named recipient, and the name and the address on both have to be correct.
One more thing that looks like a trap but is not: the game does not play letter tricks with the recipient's name. It can look like it does, because an n is hard to tell from an m, but the name is correct. If a delivery is failing, check the address and the recipe rather than hunting for a hidden pun.
Where to see what you have left
Your Steam profile lists all 27 with a tick or an empty circle, so the fastest way to find the last few is to open your profile and look at what is still greyed out. The shift walkthrough covers the sorting loop those shifts are built on.
