There are eight outfits, and not one of them changes a stat. They are all cosmetic, so you can skip every one of them and lose nothing in a fight. The eight are Black Scarf / Fugitive (worn by Soul at the start of a new game), Sanguine (unlocked from the start), The Hunt and Kindred (after obtaining any ending), Blizzard (the secret Perfect ending, with at least one Long Pillar challenge left incomplete), Legacy (the secret Perfect ending or a pre-order), and Wulin Legend and Blood-Steel Form (Digital Deluxe Edition).
Where the menu is
| What | Path |
|---|---|
| Outfits and headgear visibility | Map menu → Character tab → Appearance category |
| Accessories | Map menu → Character tab → Equip tab |
| The inventory | Unlocks only after the prologue |
You cannot see the inventory until the prologue ends, so if you go looking for the menu in the first minutes and find nothing, that is why.
The eight outfits and their unlock conditions
| Outfit | How you get it |
|---|---|
| Black Scarf / Fugitive | Worn by Soul at the start of a new game |
| Sanguine | Unlocked from the start |
| The Hunt | After obtaining any ending |
| Kindred | After obtaining any ending |
| Blizzard | The secret Perfect ending, with at least one Long Pillar challenge left incomplete |
| Legacy | The secret Perfect ending, or a pre-order |
| Wulin Legend | Digital Deluxe Edition |
| Blood-Steel Form | Digital Deluxe Edition |
Blizzard and Legacy both hang off the secret Perfect ending, and the check that produces it is the same one the endings page lays out as the true-ending checklist — with the extra condition that at least one Long Pillar challenge must be left incomplete. The Long Pillars are one of the collectible sets on the collectibles page, so a full completion run and an outfit run can conflict: finish every Long Pillar and Blizzard is gone for that save.
The pre-order grant
A pre-order gives the Legacy outfit early plus the Treasure Basin accessory, which is worth 10% Remnant Dust.
The Treasure Basin accessory also has a free in-game route, so you do not have to pre-order for it:
- It comes from the golden chest in the White Serpent House in Meigu Lake.
- The White Serpent House is part of the Four Serpent Houses quest.
- Open the golden chest there and the Treasure Basin is yours.
The Digital Deluxe Edition
The Digital Deluxe Edition is the upgrade path: it carries the two remaining outfits, Wulin Legend and Blood-Steel Form, and it is what you buy if you already own the base game and want them later. Its price is not fixed and the store's launch pricing moves with the discount, so read the current number on the store page before you buy rather than planning around a figure written down somewhere else.
The dated Epic and Fortnite promotion
This one has dates on it, so read them:
- The promotion: the Soul Outfit in Fortnite, plus a Sanguine Pickaxe and a Sanguine Back Bling.
- Price: 1,600 V-Bucks, and the pieces can be bought separately from each other.
- Window: 2026-10-29 to 2026-11-05.
- The catch: buying before you own the game gives you V-Bucks instead of the purchase bonus, so buy the game first.
This window closes on 5 November 2026. It is dated content, observed on 2026-10-30, and a promotion this short is the part most likely to have moved by the time you read this page — so check the item pages before you spend.
Re-check the dated parts
The Epic and Fortnite promotion dates and the Digital Deluxe price are window content. The eight outfits and their unlock conditions are not: those are fixed by the game.
