The Phantom Blade Zero Phantom Edges are the secondary weapon slot: bows, hand cannons, axes, hammers, scythes and other support weapons that fill the two slots beside your two primary Blades. There are 25 in the game, they are limited-use, and they draw on a shared charge pool that only refills at checkpoints — which makes them panic buttons and opening moves rather than damage dealers. Switching between Phantom Edges has no cooldown, unlike switching primary weapons.

The one that has to be assembled
The Illusory Pipa is not found, it is built. Five pieces drop from five different fights — the Broken Illusory Pipa from Bai Chilian, the Head from Dusk the Puppeteer, the Heartrend from Yuzan, the Backplate from Yubi and the Strings from Yan Qiansui — and then it is assembled at the Mist Tavern. Getting all five means fighting across four regions, and the pieces are the reason the Illusory Pipa puzzle gates the road to the Mountain of Imprisonment.
Edges that open the world
Several Phantom Edges double as traversal keys: Tiger Cannon, Bashpole, Flying Guillotine, Feather Bow, Flaming Mane, Hunter's Chain Sickle and You Loong's Deluge open sealed gates, break rock walls or clear vines. Skipping one can lock you out of part of the map, because a red map marker stays red until you own the Edge that clears it. The secrets page maps each key to the hidden area it opens.
Upgrading them
Phantom Edges are upgraded on their own track to level 30, using a material tied to their class: Martial, Destruction, Artifice, Ranged or Summon. The class also decides what the Edge does — Summon-type edges such as the Puppeteer's Bell bring an ally, Ranged types such as the Flying Dagger apply pressure from a distance, and the rest sit in between.
