There are five Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea spirit trees, and restoring them is the spine of the story — four regional trees, each watched over by a sleeping Guardian Spirit, and one enormous tree at the heart of the Forest of Echoes.

Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea spirit trees and the four guardians

The fifth is the Harvest Goddess Tree in the Heart of the Harvest Goddess Forest, and it is the one that restores Tiny to her full size.

What each guardian blocks

  • Lupo. His tree is behind the wolves, so you have to come down the vines south of the withered trunk. Restoring it calms the animals that were roaming after dark and opens the path to the Harvest Goddess Shrine.
  • Nera. You catch her in the pond at the island's southwest corner on Tornado Island. Restoring her tree disperses the storms that have been battering Tidewind.
  • Gorgon. The one being difficult. Restoring his tree releases his power, makes the mine produce ore again and ends the earthquakes.
  • Merus. The town was once alive around his tree, and restoring it brings the town back to life.

Restoring the four regional trees first is what clears the mist so you can reach the fifth.

The fifth tree in the forest

The fifth is the Harvest Goddess Tree in the Heart of the Harvest Goddess Forest, and it is the one that restores Tiny to her full size. Using the Forest Happilia there ends the main story, and the credits roll.

It is also the one with the hardest prerequisites: the Forest Happilia bottle has to be filled and capped, and the mist has to be cleared with the Mist-Dispelling Lantern. That whole sequence is on the Forest of Echoes page.

What each Hyperbloom changes

Restoring a tree triggers a Hyperbloom, and each region's is a different mechanical bonus:

  • Bloomfield Hyperbloom — Bloomfield is animal-themed, so it motivates all the animals on your farm, and animals with beneficial skills recover those abilities faster.
  • Tidewind Hyperblossom — every fishing spot in Tidewind Village enters splashy-water mode, so fish bite more easily.
  • Quarrytop Spirit Tree Hyperbloom — temporarily increases the number of ore nodes in the mine.
  • Maplehill Hyperbloom Mode — enhances the status effects or beneficial stats of cooked meals.

The Hyperbloom is triggered by using a full, capped bottle of that region's Happilia dust on the tree, and the dust is what requests and gifts fill up. The Hyperblossom Detected achievement is awarded for triggering one for the first time. The full Happilia loop is on the Happilia page.

Where the trees actually are

The map records 5 spirit tree locations: the Maplehill Spirit Tree 79 m west of Maplehill University, the Harvest Goddess Tree 65 m northwest of the Harvest Goddess Tree warp statue in the Harvest Goddess Forest, the Bloomfield Spirit Tree 107 m southwest of Wolf Hill, the Tidewind Spirit Tree 62 m northeast of the Spirit Tree of Summer, and the Quarrytop Spirit Tree 58 m east of Quarrytop Village.

Each of the first four is a warp statue destination, so you can reach them quickly once the network is open — the 33 stops are on the warp statue page.
