Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea villager requests are the spine of the game, because almost every one of them is also how you fill a Happilia bottle. What each chapter asks for is listed below, with the exact items, where the awkward ones come from and what you get back.
Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea villager requests by chapter
Every request has the same shape: a list of items, sometimes with a quality requirement, in exchange for a reward and a chunk of Happilia. Two general rules catch people out. Storage is split into food, items and materials with 10 slots per group in your rucksack and 100 per group in the house, and stored materials can be used for crafting and cooking — but an item must be in your rucksack if you are turning it in. And shipping is final, so read the request list before you put anything in the shipping bin.
Bloomfield Chapter 1 and Chapter 2
Chapter 1
- Lindsey — 4 Square Lumber and 4 Board Lumber for a Cherry Seedling to plant in an orchard plot.
- Richard — 3 River Bug bait, found by smashing rocks near the east bridge, so his bird can use the Perch ability, which opens your home storage from any perch in the world.
- Mayor Doug — use Square Lumber to build a fence around one of your fields.
- Fritz — investigate, tame and return the Cockatiel to the Animal Center.
- Betty — bring her a pet that has at least 1 mastered Animal Skill.
- Jane — fresh Milk, 500 G from Richard's store or about three days of waiting for your calf to mature, and the drink has to be chamomile and milk.
- Rowena — rucksack upgrades: the first is 1 Fabric and 2 Iron and takes your slots from 10 to 30 per category, the later one is 2 High-Quality Fabric, 5 Titanium and 10 Pine Sap.
Chapter 2, the festival revival
- William — 8 Square Lumber, 8 Material Stone and 3 Egg for the Equestrian Challenge. Chicks cost 1,200 G at the Animal Center, or Richard had 3 eggs in stock at 200 G each.
- Lindsey — 6 Banana, 6 Pumpkin and 3 Maple Syrup for her Delicious Cake Day cake, and a slice of Flower Cake in return. The bananas are on trees in Tidewind, the pumpkin seeds unlock at Heather's General Store after Quarrytop Chapter 1, and Maple Syrup is 50 G a bottle from Jeffrey at the Maple Mart, one bottle per day, or from tapped trees.
Tidewind Chapter 1 and Chapter 2
Chapter 1
- Shima, at the Remote Island Information Center, which closes at 6:00 pm — you need her corrected map, which means finding the Sprummer Island Nautical Chart in the silver chest on the cliffs behind Nera's pond on Tornado Island. Completing requests and talking to the villagers is what fills the Tidewind bottle.
Chapter 2
- Kukri — 5 Bronze, 5 Silver and 2 Gold for the Fishing Faceoff.
- Eileen — 10 Palm Lumber, 10 Pine Sap and 2 Sheep Wool for the Lantern Festival.
- Shima rewards you with the Ocean Photo shelf decoration once the chapter is done.
A full Tidewind Happilia bottle triggers the Tidewind Hyperblossom, where every fishing spot in the village enters splashy-water mode.
Quarrytop Chapter 1 and Chapter 2
Chapter 1
- Lorelei — 3 Apple, 6 Wheat and 6 Rye to unlock the mine down to Floor 10. Wild apples are in the Brown Bear Territory, Wheat Seeds are at Richard's store in Bloomfield, and Rye Seeds cost 15 G each at Heather's General Store.
- Travis — 5 Agate, 5 Jade and 5 Bronze for the guild membership permit, granting access down to Floor 30.
Chapter 2
- Heather — 1 2-star Apple Jam Baguette, 1 Araucana Egg and 1 Jersey Milk for the Mining Meet, rewarded with 10 Pumpkin Seeds. The 2-star rank is the hard part: recook the dish with a 3-star ingredient such as 3-star Milk or 3-star Egg and the Extra Ingredient function may push it up a star.
- Paul — 15 Iron, 2 Cod and 6 Leek for the Huge Hot Pot Festival. Cod are attracted to Ragworm, Cut Bait and Peeled Shrimp, and note that the Saffron Cod in the icefield is a different fish that does not count.
- Travis again — 10 Crystal, 10 Amethyst and 10 Garnet for the mining union ID, granting access to Floors 31 to 50.
The Quartztop requests lean on hard materials, and where those materials sit is listed on the ore and gemstones page.
Maplehill Chapter 1 and Chapter 2
Chapter 1
- The Maple Mart order, picked up and delivered.
- Amad — 3 Gold (6 Gold Ore), 3 Garnet (3 Raw Garnet Gemstone) and 3 Moonstone (3 Raw Moonstone Gemstone) for Shirley's new harmonica. Garnet needs the Expert Pickaxe and appears on mine floors 21 and 26 plus in dungeon mines; Moonstone is under the university, in the Great Cavern at the Foot of Mount Quarrytop and in Crystal Cave.
- Nicolas — deliver a letter to Lucia and bring back the sheet music.
- Antonio — the ingredients for the evening service.
- Jimmy runs custom-made requests and Amad runs mass requests, and clearing all of them is its own achievement.
Chapter 2
- Antonio — 6 Magic Bell Pepper, 6 Bitter Bell Pepper and 6 White Bell Pepper for the Maplehill Festival, rewarded with 1 Minestrone. All three are Yellow Bell Pepper mutations, and the farm you plant them on decides which one you get.
- Beatrice — 15 Sturdy Square Lumber, 15 Sturdy Board Lumber and 15 Hard Stone for the Expo, rewarded with an Ornate Decorative Plate. She wants the raw rock, not processed Hard Material Stone.
Festival dates and the rules that trip people up
The festival dates that unlock from these requests are: Fishing Faceoff in Spring and Fall, Lantern Festival on Summer 8, Mining Meet on Summer 24 and Winter 24, Huge Hot Pot Festival on Winter 6, and the Maplehill Festival on Fall 13.
The rule that catches people is the 2-star requirement. Heather's Apple Jam Baguette and several Maplehill requests ask for a specific star rank, and star rank is separate from whether you know the recipe: recook a finished dish with a 3-star ingredient through the kitchen's Extra Ingredient function and it may jump a star, though it can take a few attempts. How the star system and the extra ingredients work is on the recipes page.
