Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea walleye is one of the fish that share a spot with other species rather than having a spot of its own. There are exactly four walleye fishing spots in Teradea, each of which yields three species, so walleye is never guaranteed on any single cast.
Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea walleye and its four spots
| # | Spot | Position | Also caught there |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Great Lava Cavern, Fertile Grasslands | 123 m west of Lava Cavern West | Black Carp, Tilapia |
| 2 | Maplehill | 116 m southeast of Garden of Wisdom | Black Carp, Silver Dorado |
| 3 | Harvest Goddess Forest, Plumage Shoal | 98 m northeast of Forest of Echoes South Area | Piranha, Diamond Piranha |
| 4 | Harvest Goddess Forest, Water Dragon River | 100 m north of Forest of Echoes South Area | Goldfish, Red Crayfish |
Two of the four sit inside the misted Forest of Echoes, so they only become reachable after the relevant paths are cleared. The Great Lava Cavern and Maplehill spots are both on the normal route.
The four walleye spots
Because the spots are shared, work the spot until walleye turns up rather than moving on after one cast. The two Maplehill and lava cavern spots are the practical early targets; the two Forest of Echoes spots come later, once the Forest of Echoes South Area has opened.
Walleye also appears in the Stockpot Fish Chowder recipe, so it is worth keeping a few in storage rather than selling every catch. The full minigame, including the bait list and the timing, is on the fishing page.
Each spot holds three species
The shared-spot structure applies across the game, not just for walleye. Several fish — walleye, Black Carp, Tilapia, Piranha, Diamond Piranha, Goldfish and Red Crayfish — each appear at more than one of the four spots above, and every one of the four yields three species.
That has a practical consequence for planning: when you need three different fish for one recipe or request, check whether they share a spot before you plan three separate trips.

Two of the four are inside the mist
Plumage Shoal and Water Dragon River are both in the Harvest Goddess Forest, north and northeast of the Forest of Echoes South Area. The South Area opens once you have restored Nera's Tidewind tree, so these two walleye spots are gated behind that.
If you want walleye before you have restored Tidewind, use the Maplehill spot at 116 m southeast of the Garden of Wisdom or the Great Lava Cavern spot at 123 m west of Lava Cavern West. Clearing the mist is covered on the Forest of Echoes page.
