The Colosseum stands in the Royal Capital of Grandshelt, with its own save point, inn and shop, and this FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE colosseum guide covers every league, fight and prize inside it. Its doors stay shut until chapter 4, where the first objective "Go to Mozul Station" opens it, and the Fledgling desk takes you on your first visit. Inside are four leagues and 20 fights, running from recommended level 25 up to 99.

FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE colosseum guide, league by league

Each league opens only after the previous one is cleared, and inside a league each fight opens only after the one before it. Running from a fight counts as a loss, but the fight stays open and can be re-run at any time.

LeagueLevelsFights and first-win rewards
Fledgling25-321 Magicite Shard, 2 Adamantite, 3 Ancient Greatsword, 4 Magicite Shard, 5 Gaia Hammer
Brawler40-481 Magicite, 2 Adamantite, 3 Adamantite, 4 Magicite, 5 Ancient Cuirass

Champion75-991 Super Ribbon, 2 Lorica Sancta, 3 Lorica Apocalyptica, 4 Dragon Seal, 5 Omega Badge

The Fledgling pool runs from Wyvern, Magma Tortoise and Coeurl at 26-27 up to Allosaur, Ice Sculpture and Ahriman at 37. The Brawler league is mostly packs: Wild Maneuverer and Dark Fang at 40, Chaos Dragon and Hexadragon at 41, Microchu x2 and Ochu at 43, and five Flan Princesses at 45, each absorbing all eight elements. From the Gladiator League on, every fight is a duel — Zone Eater, Hidon, Donchu, Death Machine, Gargantuan Gigantuar, Malboro Queen, Holy Dragon, Beast of Ruin, Shinryu and Omega.

What each fight pays

Every one of the 20 fights pays a first-win reward, and the league as a whole pays a certificate. Every win after the first pays a consumable instead of the first-win reward: Hi-Potion in the Fledgling League, Turbo Ether in the Brawler, X-Potion in the Gladiator and X-Ether in the Champion.

The Fledgling's, Brawler's and Gladiator's Proof of Victory unlock new shelves in the Colosseum shop. The Champion's Proof of Victory is the one bestowed on someone who has overcome all trials, and it opens nothing.

Shop prices let you weigh a prize against its value: a Magicite Shard is 10,000 gil, a Magicite 50,000 and a Magicite Cryst 250,000, and the Reflect, Barrier and Protect rings run 20,000 to 25,000 each. The first-win magicite across the leagues is worth about 620,000 gil of awakening material at those prices. Once the Brawler's proof is in hand the shop sells one of each of the three rings for 65,000 gil in total, so buy only the one the next fight calls for.

Five prizes are found nowhere else in the game: the Dragon Seal and the Omega Badge, the Ancient Greatsword, the Ancient Cuirass and the Gaia Hammer. The Gaia Hammer is not only a trophy — it breaks the sealing stone east of Siren's Tower that holds Titan's trial.

The shape of the fight matters

Every fight in the first two leagues is a pack except three, and from the Gladiator League on every fight is a duel. A Sweeping Stagger needs every enemy staggered in the same turn, so a duel is worth far more per break than a pack of three.

Three trophies, no fourth

Just Getting Started comes from the Fledgling League, Arena Fighter from the Brawler and Career Fighter from the Gladiator. The Champion League has no trophy of its own.

The other endgame mode

The Colosseum is one of two endgame modes. The other is the Chamber of Arms on Dirnado, where twelve altars hold the Legendary Arms and their guardians, and that is on the chamber of arms page.

The Champion League ends on Omega

Champion Battle 5 is Omega at level 99 with 9,999,999 HP and a stagger gauge of 15,000. It has a single weakness and a counter mechanic that punishes repeated elements, so it needs a different plan from every other fight in the game. The plan is on the Omega page.
