Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea heart events are the relationship cutscenes that unlock as a friendship deepens, and two mechanics drive them: the Musical Note icon that appears on your map, and the tokens of love crafted at the Harvest Goddess statue once the story is over.
Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea heart events and the tokens
Two things make heart events work:
- The Musical Note icon. Once a candidate's friendship is high enough, a Musical Note icon appears on the minimap and on the regional map. Interact with it and the next heart event fires.
- The tokens of love. Once the Harvest Goddess story wraps up, the statue in the Harvest Goddess Glade can craft the tokens used to move a relationship forward.
The blue feather proposal is the classic endgame item, and you cannot get married without it.
The Musical Note icon
The icon appears on the minimap and on the regional map as soon as the friendship crosses the threshold, and it stays there until you trigger it. Because it is a map marker rather than a character icon, it is easy to walk past it, so scan the minimap after any session of gifting.
The official description frames this whole system as building meaningful relationships and experiencing heartwarming events before choosing a partner.
Tokens of love and the blue feather
The tokens are crafted at the statue in the Harvest Goddess Glade, and the statue also opens up for biome-specific fertiliser once the Harvest Goddess story is finished. The blue feather is what you need for the proposal itself, and the Harvest Goddess Chapter 2 objective is reported to trigger after you build the level 3 house and turn that request in to Otto — that chapter being about obtaining the blue feather.
The complete order of operations for a relationship, from the first gift to the wedding, is on the romance guide page.
Where the heart events sit in the chapter order
The ending of the game arrives at the close of Harvest Goddess Chapter 1. The credits roll, and the next morning Tiny explains how to become platonic best friends or romantic partners with the candidates. Chapter 2 content in each town is the post-game half of the story, and the Harvest Goddess Chapter 2 chapter is the one that ends with the blue feather.
The practical consequence is that heart events cannot be rushed in the first playthrough: you will fill the friendship meters long before the tokens exist, and the Musical Note icon is what tells you it is worth coming back.
If the endings feel stuck
If you have finished all the town Chapter 2 content and Harvest Goddess Chapter 1 and only villager requests and Power Statue puzzles remain, the usual answer is the central green Happilia bottle for the Forest of Echoes. It still has to be filled and capped before the final sequence opens.
How that bottle is fed — Power Wisp Fruit and camping rather than requests — is on the Happilia page.
