The Tenebris Somnia TV puzzle is a two-step job split across two floors: you power the remote on Floor 3, then read the answer off the television on Floor 2. A television showing nothing but static is the sign that the remote is dead.

The powerless TV Remote is on the desk in the Floor 3 Study, next to the discharged Cellphone you will need later for the phone code. It needs two Batteries:

  1. One Battery is inside the running washing machine in the Floor 2 apartment kitchen.
  2. The other is behind the bathroom shower curtain, where an enemy ambushes you.

Using the kitchen fuse box on its own does not work. Use the Glove from the Floor 2 Study clothes rack on the fuse box first, which shuts the machine down properly, and only then open it and take the Battery.

  1. Fit both Batteries to the TV Remote on Floor 3.
  2. Interact with the remote to switch it on.

Copying the symbol sequence

  1. Return to the Floor 2 living room.
  2. The television now shows a sequence of symbols instead of static.
  3. Note the sequence down — the order changes between playthroughs, so copy what your own television shows rather than a guide's arrangement.
  4. Step on the matching floor plates outside the bedroom door in the same order. That unlocks the bedroom.

The plates switch off quickly, so a missed step means starting the sequence over, and from demo v0.4 onward the second-floor television also plays constant noise so it is obvious something has to be done there.
