Probably Stolen fish farming is an aquaculture line with a species ladder. In version 1.0, Aquafarmer is a starting scenario that opens with a stock of Tilapia and recirculating aquaculture systems, and the ladder runs from tilapia first, through its different varieties, to more valuable species such as eels and sturgeons.
Probably Stolen Fish Farming Guide: Getting Into Aquaculture
There are two ways in. In the demo, fish farming arrived on October 19, 2026 as the Retired Aquafarmer, a Wild's Network upgrade: a retired merchant sells the equipment and you start with a basic water circulation system, a stock of tilapia and a supply of fish food. In version 1.0 it is a starting scenario instead.
Either way, the opening stock is the same shape — circulation equipment, tilapia and fish food — and the item list page covers where the equipment and feed sit among the other product lines.
Water, Food And Energy Keep The Tank Alive
Keeping fish healthy means three things running at once:
- Water quality in the tank.
- Filtration, so the tanks keep circulating.
- Energy cell, so the circulation does not stop.
Tanks can be upgraded with the right materials. Each species has its own habitat requirements, so a tank set up for tilapia is not automatically a tank set up for eels or sturgeons.
In 1.0 the Aquafarmer scenario adds that water quality, fish food and environment affect what kind of fish you end up with. The same water-quality rules decide your stock, and the water quality page has the grades and the testing routine.
Breeding And Harvesting
Breeding follows the conditions: once they are met the fish may reproduce by laying and fertilizing roe, the eggs hatch into swarms of fry, and the fry grow into mature fish. Meeting the conditions makes breeding possible rather than guaranteed, so keep the food and water on top of it.
Harvesting is a separate step:
- A knife slaughters and butchers fish for meat.
- Certain fish also provide unique resources beyond meat.
- Surgery Tools on a sturgeon harvest give caviar.
Aquaculture is slower-paced, lower-maintenance and more beginner friendly than rat ranching. The rat breeding page covers the other farming line if you want the faster cycle.
