FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE ships with no tier list at all — the game never ranks its Visions or its heroes. What exists is a community vote board that ranks the 26 Visions, and it works in a way that surprises most people: every Vision is ranked inside its own role and never against another role.
FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE vision tier list and how it works
The method behind the ranking is what actually matters when you look at one:
- Every Vision is ranked inside its own role. A Medic and a Commando are never compared, so an S Medic is the best healer in the game, not a better damage dealer than an S Commando.
- One vote per Vision, changeable once an hour, and the average of the votes produces the ranking. Voting needs an account.
- Each Vision's card shows the facts next to the vote buttons: the Resonance it ends fights with and the size of its kit.
- Any Vision that changed tier in the last 48 hours is listed above the board, so the movement is visible.
- The labels are SS (defines the fight), S (best in role), A (strong pick), B (solid), C (situational), D (niche) and ? (not yet rated).
- The board was reset on October 22, 2026, when the game released. Pre-release predictions, cast on kits and previews rather than on play, are archived separately and stay frozen as they stood on that date, because mixing them with votes from people who play would poison both.
Because the standings come from live votes, the order on the board moves over time. Read the current standings when you look, and treat any tier list as a snapshot rather than a fact.
Rank inside the role
The role split on the board mirrors the roster exactly: 4 Sentinels, 8 Commandos, 10 Breakers, 2 Medics and 2 Saboteurs, with no Synergist Vision at all. That last row is the one worth noticing, because it means there is no Vision that can replace Nichol. What each Vision gives you and how to raise it is on the visions guide page.
How to judge a Vision yourself
When you want a real answer rather than a vote, look at three things on the Vision's card:
- The Resonance it ends a Sweeping Stagger with, because that attack fires for free at the end of every full break.
- The size of its kit, since a Vision with five Mastery Rank abilities at MR 9 can pack three effects into one turn through its Spirit.
- The role it carries, because role coverage decides more fights than raw damage does.
Mastery Points come only from fighting with a Vision equipped, so the Vision you actually level is the one you will feel most. The Mastery Rank ladder, the AP budget and the Spirit are covered on the visions-guide page.
The board does not rank the heroes
It is worth being clear about that, because the board covers Visions and nothing else. The eight playable heroes are not on it, and the game publishes no ranking for them either. How to rank the heroes on your own is on the character tier list page.
