Culdcept BEGINS Card Packs: The Unlock Schedule
| Story progress | Available in the Card Shop |

| After Chapter 4 | The Fire/Earth and Water/Wind attribute packs are added |
| Chapter 11 | The full range of packs is on sale |
The variety of Card Packs available for purchase increases as you progress through the story, so an early pack pull is a narrow bet and a late one is not.
The Card Shop Buys and Sells
- The Card Shop both buys and sells cards, so cards you will never use are still worth turning into coins.
- Individual cards can be purchased one at a time as well as pulled from packs.
- Cards can be sold back for coins, including in bulk from the shop's Sell screen.
Attribute Packs vs Single Cards
- Attribute packs cost more, but the cards inside are concentrated, which makes them the efficient way to chase the terrain-changing Spells for a mono-element Book.
- Because the shop stock widens with story progress, it is worth comparing the price of one card against opening a pack whenever you are chasing a single specific card for your Book.
- What you are chasing should be a card that earns a slot — the card tier list is the shortest way to check whether a pull is worth the gold.
Free Cards From the Campaign
Story chapters reward you with the cards their opponent was using, so clearing a chapter can hand you a card you would otherwise have to buy. That also means the chapter list is the cheapest source of cards in the game.
