Isekai Guardians academia courses: The Academia of Astreus sells courses that cost Gold and take study time, each with its own prerequisites, and you can have only one course in progress at a time. Its four branches are Battle Gains, the Slayers Guild, Crafting Stations, and Politics & Trading.
The four branches
The course list is organised into four areas, and each one supports a different part of your routine rather than raw fighting strength alone:
- Battle Gains — the branch for players who live in the combat loop.
- The Slayers Guild — for players taking Slayers Guild assignments and faction work.
- Crafting Stations — for players running the workshop and its production.
- Politics & Trading — for players in the market, the caravan routes and the faction economy.
Read each course description before you buy one, because the branch tells you where it points, not what a specific course does. Within a branch the effects differ, and the game expects you to read them.
Isekai Guardians academia courses: how to study
- Open the Academia in Astreus and look at the course list.
- Select a course to inspect its effects and any earlier courses it requires.
- Pay the Gold cost and start it. Only one course can run at a time, so finish or cancel what you are running before you start anything else.
- The course you are running shows up in the Activity Hub next to your other running activities. The official in-game screen shows it there as University - Basic Combat Training with a Studying timer counting down.
Because a course occupies an activity slot while it runs, plan around it the way you plan around a mission. It is also why the one-at-a-time rule matters: two courses you would happily run in parallel is not an option.
The Crafting Stations branch
The Crafting Stations branch is the one to look at if you spend time in the Crafting Workshop, because it covers that side of the game and its upgrades. A station that produces more, or that requires less material to run, saves you the Energy and Gold that would otherwise go into feeding it.
Stations are unlocked and upgraded through their own displayed requirements, so the course and the workshop reinforce each other. The crafting stations guide covers how the production actually works.
Courses and the rest of your progression
The Academy sits above raw training, in the same layer as your personal skill tree. Training raises your base combat stats, while a course gives a lasting benefit tied to a branch of the game.
Two practical habits pay off:
- Keep one course running at all times, since the slot is otherwise idle and the study time is not something you can compress.
- Match the branch to what you actually do. The Politics & Trading branch pays off if you run a caravan, and the Battle Gains branch pays off if you spend your evenings in the Solo Dungeon.
