Isekai Guardians pocket farm guide: Choose an empty, unlocked field, apply fertilizer before planting if you want it, plant a seed from your inventory, come back when the crop asks for water, and harvest when it is ready. Leaving a crop too long kills it, so the field's status and timer decide when you return.

Isekai Guardians pocket farm guide: the cycle

  1. Choose an empty, unlocked field.
  2. If you want to use fertilizer, apply it before planting and check that it suits the seed.
  3. Plant a seed from your inventory.
  4. Return when the crop asks for water. Growing crops need attention partway through their growth, and their progress waits for watering.
  5. Harvest when the crop is ready.

Three tools run the cycle: the watering can waters crops, the basket collects harvests, and the grubber removes dead plants so their fields can be used again.

Why timing decides the outcome

Leaving crops too long can kill them, and a killed crop still occupies its field until you grub it out. That is the difference between a farm that produces and one that stalls, and it is why the field's status and timer are the two things worth checking when you log in.

Start with manageable planting times while you learn the rhythm. A long crop that needs a second watering is harder to keep alive while you are also running missions and dungeons.

Expanding your fields

Farm upgrades unlock more fields, and their requirements can include character progression, farming progression and Gold, so read the upgrade panel before you save for the next expansion. Harvesting also develops your farming mastery, which means the fields you already have get more efficient as you work them.

Fertilizer and farming skills improve different parts of the process, including harvests and crop care, and their descriptions tell you which crops and activities they affect.

When you cannot work the farm

You cannot tend the farm while travelling or while resting in the Temple, and incapacitation or exhaustion also prevents farm work. That makes the farm the system most easily disrupted by an accident, so include crop care in your plans before a long journey rather than after it.

Crops feed the kitchen and the market

Produce is more than a thing to sell. It can become ingredients for the artisan kitchen, so before selling everything, check the recipes you want to cook and the materials your other activities need.

The artisan kitchen guide covers which recipes exist, how the Artisan level gates them and how a finished dish is packaged for the trade cart.

Sell the surplus

Once you have cooked what you need, the rest is inventory you either sell or keep. City shops, the Exchange market and the Goods Trader all take produce, and which of them pays best depends on what is in demand and whether you are carrying a full caravan.

The trading guide compares the five places you can trade, including the caravan route that uses the extra capacity a mount gives you.

A routine that works

  • Check the fields every time you log in, since a crop waiting for water is losing time.
  • Plant a spread of planting times rather than one long crop, so a single missed watering does not cost you the whole batch.
  • Keep fertilizer for seeds it actually suits.
  • Decide the destination of a crop before you plant it, whether that is a recipe, a trade or a gift to the guild bank.
