Isekai Guardians cities guide: Astreus is your home base and the human capital, holding the Training Grounds, the Academia, the Dungeons, crafting, the bank and property. Elysium to the west is the beastkin stronghold and the place for mount rentals, Beluria to the north holds the Inscriber, and Ostheim to the east offers shops, missions, residents and fishing.

Isekai Guardians cities guide: what each city holds

  1. Astreus — the central human capital and your home base. Training Grounds, the Academy of Astreus, the Dungeons, the Crafting Workshop, the bank and your property are all here.
  2. Elysium — the beastkin stronghold to the west, and where mounts are rented.
  3. Beluria — the elven bastion to the north, built over Caelthor's sealing chambers, and home to the Inscriber.
  4. Ostheim — to the east, a refuge founded by those who refused to take part in the wars, with local shops, missions, residents and fishing opportunities.

Shared activities such as Home, the inventory, guilds, farming, Brawls and missions appear across cities, so you are not locked into one location to play.

Traveling between cities

Open Travel to see the routes available from your current city, and the travel screen shows your progress while you are on the way. Journeys take time, and three things can stop you leaving:

  1. Finish or abandon an active mission before departing.
  2. Dungeon participation can prevent travel until you leave or finish the activity.
  3. You cannot begin a journey while dead or exhausted, so visit the Temple and recover first.

Plan your destination around the services you need, especially when carrying goods or returning to your home kitchen. Shop stock, available requests, your progression and the goods you carry all change what makes a visit worthwhile.

Beluria and the Inscriber

Beluria is where the Inscriber lives, and inscription is the one upgrade that binds an item to you permanently. That makes it the trip worth taking deliberately rather than the one you make when you happen to be nearby.

The inscribing and recycling guide covers the daily limit, the binding consequences, and what you can still do with an unbound spare.

Ostheim and the other cities

Ostheim's residents, shops, missions and fishing opportunities make it the city most players visit for a reason other than a service. The fishing guide covers what fishing there needs.

Older half-demon fortress-city Duskara belongs to the historical chronicle and is not one of the four travel destinations in the current city menu.

Mount rental in Elysium

Mounts are rented in Elysium, and they improve travel speed and the amount of trade goods you can carry. Before you rent one, check three things:

  1. The level requirement.
  2. The rental cost.
  3. The remaining time on the rental.

Replacing an active rental starts a new rental. It does not add the old time to the new mount, so let one run out before you switch rather than paying twice.

The reason to rent one is the economy: a rental raises your caravan capacity and shortens travel, which is what makes moving trade goods between cities worth doing at all. The trading guide covers how a caravan run is priced.

City shops and what you can buy

Every city has local shops for buying available supplies and equipment and for selling eligible items, and they are one of the five places you can trade in this game. Read the item details before you commit, because level requirements, item restrictions and available stock decide whether a purchase suits you.

The trading guide compares the city shops with the Exchange market, the equipment auctions, direct trade and the Goods Trader.

When a service seems to be missing

The Areas menu is customizable, so a missing shortcut does not mean a feature is locked. Check the City view and your menu settings, because some services exist only in a particular city and the menu changes while you travel.
