Isekai Guardians artisan kitchen: The kitchen turns ingredients into dishes and trade goods. Choose a recipe your Artisan level supports, supply the ingredients and start cooking on an available stove, collect the finished dish, then package it, store it or load it into the trade cart.

Isekai Guardians artisan kitchen: the cooking flow

  1. Choose a recipe your Artisan level supports.
  2. Supply the ingredients it needs.
  3. Start cooking on an available stove.
  4. Collect the finished dish.
  5. Package it, store it, or load it into the trade cart as available.

Four limits decide how much you can do at once: the number of available stoves, your shelf space, and your cart capacity. A kitchen with one stove and a full shelf produces far less than the recipe list suggests.

Where the ingredients come from

Fish can be sliced into cooking ingredients in the kitchen, and farm produce can support recipes. That makes the kitchen the second half of the farming and fishing loops: raw catches and crops become dishes, and dishes become trade goods worth more than the raw materials.

Check the recipe list before you sell everything you catch or harvest, because a fish you sell for Gold may be worth more as an ingredient in a dish that sells for several times as much. The fishing guide and the Pocket Farm guide cover both supply sides.

The kitchen only works at home

Kitchen work requires returning home to Astreus, so plan cooking around trips rather than expecting to cook while you travel. If you are running a caravan route that takes you away for a while, cook before you leave or wait until you are back.

That is the same reason the property catalogue matters: the kitchen is one of the upgrades on your home. The cities and travel guide maps out which city holds which service and how journeys work.

Take packaged wares to a Goods Trader

Packaged dishes go into the trade cart and then to a Goods Trader. The kitchen indicates where a dish is best sold, which is worth reading before you carry a cartful of the wrong thing across several cities.

The trading guide covers the Goods Trader, the price history it shows, and how caravan capacity decides how much a single run is worth.

The kitchen and the Crafting Workshop are separate

This is the most common mix-up in the game, and it is worth stating plainly: the kitchen and the Crafting Workshop are separate systems with their own recipes and their own progression.

The workshop stations produce items while you supply them with materials. The kitchen cooks recipes and packages the results. Neither unlocks the other, and a station does not cook a dish. The crafting stations guide covers the workshop side.

Getting the most out of your kitchen

  • Batch your cooking around the stoves you have, and start the long recipes first.
  • Read the Artisan level requirement on a recipe before you gather for it.
  • Keep shelf space free, because a full shelf stops you starting anything.
  • Check where a dish sells best before you package it.
  • Cook before a caravan run rather than during it, since the kitchen needs you at home.
