Isekai Guardians summoning guide: Open the Summoning screen to see your free and premium sphere balances, the storage limits and the refill timers, then choose a summon option and read the results afterwards. Free spheres recover over time while premium spheres depend on your Premium status, and a full sphere type stops accumulating, so check the screen during normal play sessions.
Isekai Guardians summoning guide: how it works
- Open the Summoning screen and check the free sphere balance, the premium sphere balance, the storage limit for each, and the refill timer.
- Decide which pool you are spending from. Free summoning is its own pool and does not draw from the premium one.
- Choose the summon option you want and commit your spheres.
- Review the result screen, which shows what arrived.
- Use the summon history to revisit recent results if you missed something.
Sphere storage is limited, and a full type cannot keep accumulating. That is the detail that decides when to summon: if you never spend them, a capped pool stops filling while its timer runs, and those spheres are wasted.
What a summon can give you
Rewards vary in type and rarity, and they can be:
- Equipment — a piece you may or may not be able to use.
- Consumables — items for your own supply.
- Guardians — and more commonly guardian shards, which unlock companions and upgrade a Guardian you already own.
Unlocking a guardian this way does not automatically make it active. It joins your collection, and you still have to set it active yourself.
Where the current rates live
The summon screen has a View Rates control, and that is where the game's current rarity information sits. Different summon types can reward differently, so read each type's own details before choosing which pool to spend.
The percentages are not a fixed published table, because they can change with the game's current configuration. The live panel, the current item descriptions and the reward previews are the place the rates live, and checking View Rates before you spend is what stops a summon from being a surprise.
The free summon pool is tracked as its own balance with its own Summon ready state in the Activity Hub, which is a quick way to see whether you have one waiting without opening the full screen.
Check the piece before you equip it
A rare item is still something to inspect. Before you put a summoned piece on, check its level and class requirements, its equipment slot and its actual stats against what you already use.
A reward that does not fit your current build may still have another eligible use — it may complete a set, fit a different slot, or be worth more sold than worn. The class guide explains how a set activates and why the Gear screen fraction is the number to watch.
Guardian shards from summon results
Guardian shards are the most reliable part of a summon for a collector, because they never expire and they have two uses: unlocking a new companion, or upgrading one you already own through matching shards.
The Guardian guide covers both, including why comparing bonuses beats comparing rarity when you decide which one to make active.
