Isekai Guardians mission prestige: Prestige becomes available once an eligible mission reaches guaranteed success. Prestiging raises the mission's reward potential and introduces fresh risk, and the confirmation screen shows the next tier's terms before you commit.

Isekai Guardians mission prestige: when it unlocks

The condition is specific: the mission has to reach guaranteed success first. A mission you are still failing is not eligible, and neither is one you have not run to completion.

That makes prestige a natural progression rather than an opening move. You run the mission until it succeeds every time, and then you decide whether the higher tier is worth the new risk.

What prestige changes

Two things move when you prestige:

  1. Reward potential goes up. That is the reason to do it.
  2. Risk comes back. A guaranteed-success mission becomes a mission that can fail again at the new tier.

Read the confirmation screen, because it shows the next tier's terms. The success rate at the new tier, the Energy cost and the duration are all in there, and they are the numbers you are deciding on.

The mid-run trap

Prestiging during an active run also changes the tier under which that run completes. In other words, the mission you started on the old terms finishes on the new ones, which means a run you were treating as a safe, guaranteed payout can now fail.

The practical rule is simple: finish the run you have, then prestige. If you do prestige mid-run, go back and read the confirmation before you confirm it again.

When prestige is worth it

  • Your current mission already succeeds every time, so the new tier's risk is the only variable.
  • The reward jump covers the Energy you would spend re-running it after a failure.
  • You have the Energy and the time to absorb one bad tier, because a failure here costs you progress and recovery time.

It is worth less when you are still building the mission up, when your Energy is tight, or when a failure would block something time-sensitive you have scheduled.

City Guard duty pays Gold instead

A mission occupies one of your activity slots for its duration, and it spends Energy. City Guard duty is the complementary activity: it spends Labor rather than Energy and pays Gold, so the two run side by side without competing for the same pool.

That makes it a natural fit for the gap while a mission runs, especially after a prestige where the extra rewards are worth collecting. The City Guard duty guide covers the shifts and what cancelling one costs you.
