As of 2026-10-29, Isekai Guardians is playable in the browser only, during an Open Beta that runs 23.10.2026 to 04.12.2026. The Steam build has not shipped: the developer says Steam approval is still pending, the store page still carries the "Coming Soon To Early Access" banner with "Release Date: October 2026", and the Steam app API still returns coming_soon = true. After 04.12.2026 the servers go offline for launch preparation, and the official launch is 18.12.2026 at 23:00 CET.
Where You Can Play Right Now
- In the browser. The Open Beta runs on the official site, and the site's own button reads "Play Open Beta" / "Your adventure starts in your browser." Register there and the Open Beta is live.
- On Steam: not yet. The 22 Oct 2026 announcement "Steam Release delayed" says the developer is "still working out things with steam" and that Steam "will be enabled and playable" once ready, while the Open Beta launches normally. In the Steam discussion the developer added that they tried and could not get approved, and that this is their first release.
- Linking Steam later. Registering on the website is the safe move: the developer says you can connect a Steam account to that account once the Steam build goes live.
- Mobile. The official site lists the iOS app and the Android app as "coming at launch", not as part of the Open Beta.

The countdown on the official site is the clearest version of this: it reads "Open Beta starts in" before 23.10.2026, "Open Beta is online" during the beta window, and "Time until official launch" once the beta is over.
The Server Shutdown Between Beta and Launch
The official site's own timeline has a step called "Server preparation & downtime" that reads "After 04.12.2026 until the official launch — Servers will be offline while we prepare the live servers." The countdown banner swaps to "Servers are offline while we prepare for launch" for that window.
This is the one date to plan around. If you are still learning the game when the beta ends, the shutdown is not a bug and the game is not deleted — it is a deliberate gap between the beta and the live servers. Finish what you can before 04.12.2026, then come back on 18.12.2026.

None of those is the launch date. The developer's own announcements and the official site are the authority: the "Release Schedule" announcement of 14 Oct 2026 gives the Open Beta as October 23rd at 23:00 CEST and the Early Access release as December 18th at 23:00 CEST, and the site timeline states the launch as 18.12.2026 · 23:00 CET. The Steam page is also visibly still moving — a release tracker logged a delay-history entry for this game on 24 Oct 2026 — so treat the Steam date as "not yet", not as October.

- "Release Schedule", 14 Oct 2026 — the Open Beta date of October 23rd at 23:00 CEST, the Early Access release date of December 18th at 23:00 CEST, and the note that the Early Access release has no more wipes.
- "Steam Release delayed", 22 Oct 2026 — Steam is not live yet, the Open Beta launches normally, and you can register on the website and connect Steam later.
- "Isekai Guardians Open Beta & Halloween Event: October 23rd!", 19 Oct 2026 — the beta launch date and the Halloween event. Every Halloween skin and the Plushie you earn during the Open Beta is kept and sent to your in-game mailbox at the official launch, so beta rewards are not lost.
